FSB joins alliance to tackle care sector crisis

The National Care Coalition (NCC) is a new umbrella body, comprising independent, private and not-for-profit care organisations, which aims to fight for the future of professional quality care for the elderly. The coalition seeks to raise a number of issues:

  • That care staff are properly remunerated;

  • That services are tendered and purchased within a framework of equality and fairness;

  • That care services are tailored to suit the needs of the client; and

  • That the political game of cat-and-mouse, played out between central and local government, over who is ultimately responsible for the funding of care, is ended.
