FSB signs up to  racially aware leadership project

The Commission for Racial Equality (CRE) urged small businesses to participate in its Leadership Challenge, launched recently. The campaign is urging business leaders to commit to a policy of racial equality within their organisations.

At the heart of the Challenge is a requirement for each individual who signs up to create two plans: a personal action plan, setting out how the leader intends to play a prominent role in working towards racial equality; and a corporate action plan, outlining the way in which the organisation will work to eradicate discrimination and promote racial equality. The CRE plans to introduce prestigious annual awards which will recognise efforts towards establishing racial equality.
